You can select the clock style, the wallpaper and even assign a feature to work directly when double tapped – for example double tap to start the pedometer. Other features are timer, stop watch and sleep (monitor your sleep pattern). You can also control the media on your smartphone using the media controller via the Gear Fit device. You can read notifications (SMS’s) and even reply back using predefined text. The heart rate sensor will emit the green light when active.Īpart from the exercise mode the Fit can also be used as a watch (looks great). When using the fitness mode the heart rate is constantly checked. This is basically a fitness centric device – there is pedometer to record steps and calories burned, the exercise mode (running, cycling, walking and hiking + exercise history) and heart rate. The orientation can be changed to horizontal or vertical. The display quality is very good and easily visible under direct sunlight, even the viewing angles are great. The Fit device will work with many Samsung smartphones it worked with the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note II. The processes is simple, you just need to follow the instructions. You will need to pair the Fit with the Samsung Smartphone.

The Fit makes use of Bluetooth 4.0 technology for communicating with the Samsung devices. There are accelerometer, heart rate and gyro sensors. The strap can be changed if need (available in different colors). The strap is made of good quality rubber and there are two metal studs to secure the strap as per your wrist size. This futuristic looking device looks more like a band. The device is light weight at just 26 grams. On the rear side there is the charging port and heart rate sensor.
There is a single power button on the right side. The Gear Fit sports a 1.84 inch curved screen (Super AMOLED display). The other contents are charging dock (with micro USB port), travel charger with micro USB pin, warranty card and quick start guide. The Gear Fit comes packed inside a small box.
